About us
Guided by our founding principle set by Konrad Rinnen, we built one of the most reliable, sophisticated, and wide-ranging intermodal and road networks for liquid goods on the European continent.
Throughout our more than 80-years of history, we have gained valuable experience in the handling various liquid goods, exclusively for the chemical industry. 750 people from 38 nations, spread over ten locations, contribute to the daily production of everyday goods.

1943
Foundation – by Konrad Rinnen
1945
Hermann Rinnen (2° gen.) joined as a driver
1963
Entrance in the chemical transport business with the first chemical roadbarrel: 24.000 liters
1970
Cooperation with ONATRA and increased capacity for 1.000 road barrels: entrance on the market of big players in Germany
1973
Expansion of Headquarters in Moers: with new location, extra 20.000 sqm and own vehicles
1978
Purchase of the First 100 Tank Containers
Foundation of RINNEN Spain in Montgat
Started the first intermodal transports- first destination: Italy
Hermann Rinnen (3° gen.) joined the company
Opening of new German branch in Maxdorf
1984
Expansion of Headquarters in Moers
1986
Foundation of RINNEN Italy – Busto Arsizio
Expansion of Headquarters in Moers with new 14.000 sqm
Started the first intermodal shipments from Germany to Spain

Foundation of RIFA: streamlining the procurement for operational vehicles

Start of On-Site logistics for customers in Spain, Barcelona

RINNEN Spain expand the heating services with purchase of two mobile boilers, initiating heating services as a starting point to guarantee the temperature of chemical products to the end customer

Modernization vehicle service complex in Poland: new tank cleaning, fuel, vehicle inspection, and maintenance stations

GMP+ at branch Maxdorf: Standard for Feed

Joined the Responsible Care Program of ECTA: voluntary initiative to drive continuous improvement in safe chemicals management
